CafeBiz at Traders Hotel

Two weeks ago, my hubby and I popped by Traders Hotel CafeBiz for lunch buffet. We selected this hotel's buffet becos we've not been to the Tanglin mall area for quite sometime.

For two persons, the total bill only comes up to S$105 when you have DBS credit card that entitles you to 10% discount when you dine there. For citybank holders, you are entitled to 15% of total bill.

The thing I like about the buffet place is that it is not too crowded. The spread is also pretty wide from selection of cheese spreads to international food.

Free flow of Fruit juices are available. I love the orange juice especially. It's 100% fresh from the fruit. Hubby took the gauva drink.

Picture above: I made our own Kuailapis!!

I also tried their laksa dish. Unfortunately, its not up to my standard! Even though, the dish was presented to me very professionally.

We totally loved the freshness of their oysters!! If not for being pregnant, I could have had a dozen that day! Totally tasty!

Above picture: Chef going rounds to serve grilled pineapple. OMG, their best food was their grill kebab chicken! Hubby had a few of chicken kebab whenever its out from the kitchen :)

I love their salad as well. I make good salad for myself whenever I'm at buffet. It's healthy and a great appetitiser to kick start the buffet meal.

There was also a good spread of dessert corner from chocolate fountain fondue to moose, cakes and icecream.

Well, we may revisit this buffet again maybe in a year time. For the price you pay, you really cannot pick any major fault. Comparing to Melt at Mandrain Oriental Hotel, where it already cost S110 for a person for lunch buffet! For about S$110 buck, you dine for 2 at Cafebiz!! Anyway, both hubby and I still pledge our buffet love for Carousel buffet at Royal Plaza on Scotts!! But sometimes, you got to try something that is not so good so that the good ones are appreciated always:)))

Skinny Pizza

Ok, so I shall start my blog with One Fine Evening, me and hubby were in Orchard Wheelock area for dinner. We popped by this interesting restaurant with a name call "Skinny Pizza" located at 3rd floor (close to Sun and Moon Japanese restaurant). The restaurant's name simply drawn us into the space to try out its food.

The tables and chairs are small so ladies with big bags will probably require to dump your bags on the floor or like me, use a professional bag hanger to hang the bag at the edge of the table. You can buy a professional bag hanger at Daisco shop for S$2. Or a prettier version can be found in one of the pen shop at ION mall for $39.

We kicked off the meal with soup as starter. Our pick was for cream of mushroom. See below. The portion is medium size with a crunchy piece of bread along with the soup served. The soup was delicious. Not to be missed.

Our side order was some saugages. You can order the Qty you want by the inches of length you can finish. I didn't really like this dish becos it lacked the salty taste of saugages I normally enjoy. Hmm.... pls do try out this dish for yourself and do a verdict if its identical to mine.

Our main dish was definitely the pizza! There are alot of pizza selection in the menu. We ordered the Truffle Mushroom pizza. It is too salty for my taste bud. :0) We provided feedback to the waitress and she recommended us to go for the squid pizza on our next visit. We could not finish the entire mushroom pizza due to the saltiness and ended up with dog bag service. See below.

The hidden treasure in this restaurant to our very surprise was the desserts. OH MY GOD! I am definitely going back to Skinny Pizza for their desserts! We ordered 2 signature desserts. The Rum pudding and the banana cake. See below. Talking about it, it now reminds me to visit the restaurant for desserts soon. Cheers! (Expect to spend about S$60-90 for a meal for 2 persons including starter, main and desserts)
